MELBOURNE.
Yite Labs is my studio. I consult on strategy, ops and AI transformation, build tools, and write.
The bet: movement creates opportunity. The work, the tools and the thinking all live here. Have a look around.
Things I've built for fun, learning or helping others. Ship first, polish later - so expect a range of maturity. All free to use.
I find writing a great way to explore ideas. I've been publishing some of these thoughts since 2018. Re-reading them can sometimes be embarrassing as my thinking evolves, but this time capsule captures the journey and serves as a great reminder to keep an open mind.
OPS + AI.
I specialise in the gap between strategy and execution. I've worked through fast growth, messy product-market fit challenges, big company change and tough turnarounds. So I've seen what works and what breaks.
15+ years across start-ups (EatClub and Trendii), big tech (Instacart), consulting (PwC), in-house transformation (Dentsu) and restructuring (Ferrier Hodgson).
- Clear north stars. Decisions get made on the best and fastest path to the goal. And if the goal needs to change, it changes - that's just real-time learning.
- Diagnose upstream. Downstream symptoms - churn, complaints, support tickets - almost always start upstream. Follow the process back to where it actually broke.
- AI-first lens. It's just the future. Start here - how do processes, teams, and products look through this lens? Just don't lose the human bit.
- Build over theory. Now beats later, and great ideas on paper aren't always great in reality. Prototype, ship, and get real-world feedback fast. Momentum is infectious.
- Eliminate ruthlessly. Clarity comes from cutting, not adding. If it's not hell yes, it's probably a no.
- Basics before sexy. Shiny ideas are great, but it's the boring details that often matter in the long-term. Be mindful of the foundations in place.
- Visibility as a system. Public channels, shared docs, roadmaps. A trail of progress anyone can tap into.
- Decisive by default. Clear recommendations, room to disagree. "Moving this way unless there's a strong view otherwise."
- Embrace tension. It comes with the territory when you're trying to do something new. Find what you agree on, table the differences, and agree how to resolve them.
Yite Labs is my contracting home. I take on work as projects, contracts and fractional roles.
Got something messy ahead? Growth, change, AI adoption - happy to take a look. And I'm always up for a chat, even if there's no work in it.
More private for now. But here to drive accountability and steer me towards work and opportunities with real ownership. It's also a signal that I'm open to chat if I can help on the capital and growth journey.
